PSK Legal Experts Fund
Protect Siesta Key’s current legal and advocacy efforts include:
• Challenging Sarasota County’s actions involving publicly owned natural lands purchased with Neighborhood Parkland Program tax dollars to help ensure these protected lands remain preserved for public benefit and environmental protection.
• Retaining legal counsel and professional review of the proposed mega-hotel development on Midnight Pass Road to identify inconsistencies between approved development plans and current site plans that may increase intensity beyond what was originally approved.
• Defending the integrity of our zoning and Comprehensive Plan protections by challenging incorrect interpretations issued by the Zoning Administrator regarding transient accommodations and barrier island regulations.
Donations to the Protect Siesta Key Legal Fund help cover attorney fees, court costs, experts analysis (including Land Use consultants), public records expenses, transcripts, filing fees, and other costs associated with these efforts.
